  1. Frequently Asked Questions | Mobile Pet Grooming in New Hampshire

Frequently Asked Questions | Mobile Pet Grooming in New Hampshire

Q: What do I need to do first to get started?
A: Pet & owner paperwork must be completed & Service Agreement signed prior to first appointment. Please also update your favorite picture of your pup/kitty to your pet profile. I love seeing their photos!
Q: Do I need to be home during appointment?
A: Owner must be home at the start of the 1st appointment only. Then, if you prefer, you may leave instructions on file for when you are not at home.
Q: How often should my pet be groomed?
A: Dogs who need a full groom, with particular clips should be done every 4-6 weeks. Dogs with a Canine Cleanse every 6-8 weeks. It is strongly suggested that you maintain a regular schedule.
Q: How long will it take?
A: Depends upon the breed, size, condition of coat, etc... Groom can take anywhere from 1-3 hours.
Q: My dog's hair is matted. Will it need to be cut short?
A: This will be decided on a dog by dog basis. It depends upon how badly matted, location of mat's and how your dog responds. My intent is to do what's best for your pet first. Your Pet's safety & comfort always comes first. If I conclude that it's going to be too painful to brush out the mat's, then a short clip is the only option. There will be a minimum fee of $25 for mat removal.
Q: What steps do you take to make sure your workspace is clean & safe for my pet?

A: After every groom all tools, table, tub & surfaces are cleaned, disinfected & sanitized using only products that are safe for pets. No bleach is ever used in my van & the disinfectant I use is for veterinary use. In addition, I run a UV air cleaner at night & sometimes in between appointments. Designed to kill mold, mildew, mites, fleas & viruses naturally.

Q: What shampoos do you use?
A: Les Pooches, Quadruped & Hyponic. I have fragrance free, hypoallergenic & no-sting Puppy shampoo, in addition to the standards.
Q: Can I see inside your van?
A: Absolutely, I would be happy to show you the grooming area and if you would like the control area in the rear of the van as well.
Q: Do you take credit cards?
A: At this time I do, however that will be changing. I am either going to do away with them or start charging an additional fee for usage. Cash is preferred! I do accept checks & Venmo.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: In the unlikely event that you do not cancel within 48 hours or do not allow me access to your pet, a $50 fee will be charged. The fee for returned checks will be $50 as well.
Q: How can you guarantee my pet's comfort?
A: No guarantee, but I do everything possible to make the groom as comfortable & stress free as possible. My table has an anti-fatigue, anti-slip comfort mat. My tub has an anti-slip rubber grate. I have all natural organic Plant Therapy essential oils with diffuser, designed to calm high strung animals. Cedarwood Atlas for cats & Cedarwood, Lavendar and Roman Chamomile for dogs. I use several different rubber curry brushes that the dog's love! I have dog hammocks & hip support/geriatric harnesses to assist the over-weight or elderly. All doggies wear "Happy Hoodies" when blow dryer is on high.
Q: Do you use cage dryers?
A: Never. Pet is towel dried then I use a combination of fluff & turbo drying.
Q: Do you use cold water to rinse?
A: No. My van is equipped with a special heating system that uses the engine coolant and runs off the inverter's batteries to keep everything warm year round. Air & water temp is easily adjustable.
Q: Do you groom dogs over 120 lbs?
A: Possibly. But you must contact me for a price.
